Most found the book engaging, though it was felt the first part of the book/background was somewhat difficult going.  However, if one were patient and persevered, the majority of the group then got "hooked" and enjoyed the fast pacing and intricate story line. Members were intrigued with the setting and the different cultures and communities represented, and would recommend the book to others.
