Overall, the Group would recommend this as a Good Read.

This book, set in 1962, tells the story of 16 year old Evie Epworth who lives in rural East Yorkshire and dreams of the bright lights of London (or at least Leeds). To realise her dreams, she has to overcome a manipulative and money grubbing prospective stepmother. With a little help from a cast of intriguing characters and some advice from her Adam Faith posters her dreams can come true.
Most of the Group enjoyed this book, it was a light, funny read and for those who remember 1962 and grew up in Yorkshire it struck a chord and brought back a lot of memories.
