Can a computer read a scan? This talk explores how AI supports doctors in finding disease earlier, why human judgement still matters, and what the technology means for everyday medical care.
Rhidian is a Consultant Radiologist at The Christie NHS Foundation Trust and Clinical Lead for Diagnostics, Digital and Innovation for the Greater Manchester Cancer Alliance. He has a long-standing interest in medical imaging, digital healthcare and artificial intelligence, and leads projects evaluating how AI can support doctors in interpreting medical scans and improving cancer diagnosis pathways.
